HIFU FACE SKIN TIGHTENING

HIFU uses ultrasound to create heat at a deep level in the skin. This heat damages targeted skin cells, causing the body to try to repair them. To do this, the body produces collagen to aid in cell regrowth. Collagen is a substance in the skin that gives it structure and elasticity. When treating the face and neck areas we target 3 depths deep into the skin, 4.5mm/3.0mm/1.5mm. This allows you to receive regeneration across the entire depth of tissue, not just superficially like other modalities.

We usually begin HIFU facial rejuvenation by cleaning the chosen area of the face, mapping our desired treatment areas and applying a clear gel. Then, using a handheld device that emits the ultrasound waves in short bursts, we work over the area up to 3 times with the different applicator depths. Each session typically lasts 30–120 minutes.

Some people report mild discomfort during the treatment, and some have a dull aching pain afterward for up to 7-10 days. Unlike other cosmetic procedures, HIFU facials do not require any preparation. When a session is over, there is also no recovery time, which means that people can get on with their daily activities after receiving HIFU treatment.

Increased elasticity and improved collagen formation deep within the foundations of the skin structure, creating a firmness to the skin to improve any loss of volume, laxity and improve wrinkles. You may require between one and six sessions 3+ months apart, depending on the results you want to achieve.

Statistically results show continuing improvement 3-12 months post procedure, but will largely depend on your diet, lifestyle and skin care routines, as well as genetic aging factors. HIFU is a Deep Tightening Facial treatment, to address more visible laxity and facial pleating/lines would be more suited to superficial procedures.
